How to Add an Image & Video Connector to Claude
You add an image and video connector to Claude as a custom connector, and the AIMCP connector will be added this way once Early access members receive their setup details.
This guide is an outline. The real connector address and step-by-step screenshots will be added here when the AIMCP endpoint launches; we do not publish a placeholder address. The AIMCP web generator opens soon in Early access.
Before you start
You will need three things when the connector opens to you.
- A Claude plan that supports custom connectors. Check Anthropic’s help center for current plan requirements.
- An AIMCP account with credits.
- Your Early access invite, which will include the connector details.
What you will be able to ask Claude
Once connected, you will describe what you want in plain language and Claude will call the AIMCP tools for you.
- “Make a 16:9 product shot of this mug on a marble counter.”
- “Turn this image into a 5-second clip with a slow push-in.”
- “Generate three poster variations and tell me which model you used.”
How to add the AIMCP connector to Claude
The outline below follows Claude’s custom connector flow. The connector is in Early access, so every step is marked that way.

Join Early access
Email the AIMCP team to join Early access. You will receive the connector details when your spot opens.

Add a custom connector in Claude
In Claude, open Settings, go to Connectors and add a custom connector. Paste the AIMCP connector address from your invite. Screenshots will be added here when the endpoint launches.

Sign in and test a prompt
Authorize your AIMCP account, then ask Claude for an image or a short video. Claude will call the AIMCP tool and use your AIMCP credits.

No. Claude writes text and code; it does not create image or video files on its own. A connector lets it call a generation service such as AIMCP.
